Poland’s President Andrzej Duda will pay an official visit to USA. As Poland in English reports, Mr. Duda was invited to the White House where he will talk face-to-face with the American President Donald Trump.

The officials will talk about military and energy cooperation. One of the topics will be “the participation of the US investment funds in the development of our region’s infrastructure”.

Ukraine

The Interfax informs that Ukraine and the European Union signed a “memorandum of understanding and a loan agreement on providing the fourth program of macro financial assistance to the country”. The so called MFA IV amounts to EUR1bn.

Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko commented: “This is a great help in carrying out the reforms and supporting the reforms — not only financial, but also consultative — and you are rightfully a participant and co-sponsor of the reforms that have been held in Ukraine over the past four years”.

Hungary

The Budapest Airport launched Pier B, a “brand new passenger terminal section of more than 10,000 square meters” the Daily News Hungary informs. As reported, the facility will be used to handle non-Schengen flights. The portal writes that the traffic at the Budapest Airport intensifies. During the last 4 years, it has seen double-digit growth in the number of passengers.

In the summer 2018, 44 airlines offered flights to 130 destinations from the Budapest Airport. In August 2018 a record number of arriving and departing passengers was registered: 1,527,620.
