The US administration is considering the possibility of using unilateral sanctions against participants of the Nord Stream 2 project, the US President Donald Trump told reporters during the talks with the Polish President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday. Mr. Trump also criticized Germany for participating in the construction of the pipeline. “Nord Stream 2 really makes Germany a hostage of Russia if things ever happen to be bad. We’re protecting Germany from Russia and Russia is getting billions and billions of dollars from Germany,” Mr. Trump said.

The Nord Stream 2 pipeline is expected to come into service at the end of 2019. The pipeline is set to run from the Russian coast along the Baltic Sea bed to the German shore.

According to survey released by PwC and the Urban Land Institute, Prague, followed by Warsaw, Budapest and Moscow, is the best places for real estate investments in the CSE region. The annual report, called Emerging Trends in Real Estate, provides an outlook on real estate finance and capital markets, as well as other real estate issues and reflects the view of nearly 1,000 interviewees, including industry experts, developers, and brokers.

“I think Warsaw and Prague are markets where people with a fresh mind and no preconceptions can imagine a 4 per cent yield,” says one of the respondents of the PwC” survey.

Serbia

ZF Friedrichshafen opened a EUR160m worth factory for electric vehicle parts in Pancevo, northern Serbia. The factory currently has a workforce of 300 employees, and the number will be raised to 1,000 after the completion of the project, the Pancevo city government said in a statement. ZF Friedrichshafen has already launched the second stage of the project during which it will invest EUR60m and will open 460 job places.

Initially, the German company plans to produce electric shafts for premium original equipment manufacturers, e-mobility electric motors, electronic and mechatronic gearboxes, microswitches and printed circuit boards.
