The Czech energy company CEZ has decided to postpone the sale of its Bulgarian assets, according to local media quoting CEZ spokesman. CEZ already sold one large thermoelectric power plant in Varna, but will put off the sale of its power distribution company and other renewable energy facilities in Bulgaria in order to precise its value. A strategic committee of CEZ’s supervisory board has demanded a third evaluation of the company’s assets. It remains unclear when the new evaluation will be ready, though.
The decision comes after CEZ announced at end-2017 that it held exclusive negotiations with one unnamed bidder on the sale of its assets in Bulgaria.
