EBRD, EU launch credit line for Ukrainian SMEs

The EBRD and the EU have jointly introduced the EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line for Ukrainian SMES that are to benefit from funds worth up to EUR60m, the EBRD has said. Individual private businesses with up to 250 employees can apply for loans of up to EUR3m in hryvnia equivalent. Initially, the credit line will be operated by the state-owned Ukreximbank (EUR22m) and OTP Leasing Ukraine (EUR10m), said the EBRD, and additional resources of around EUR28m will be available to other banks joining the credit line. Grant incentives are also on offer.
