BiH Indirect Tax Authority (ITA) has collected KM 6.3bn in indirect tax revenues in Jan-Oct, up by KM487m or 8.3% y/y, local media reported citing data from ITA. VAT refunds amounted to KM1.1bn so net revenues of KM5.2bn (up by KM403m) were distributed among users. BiH institutions received KM625m in Jan-Oct, FBiH — KM2.3bn, RS — 1.1bn and Brcko District — KM146m. The Federation received additional KM143.4m based on special toll revenues intended for motorway and road construction, RS — KM94.8m and Brcko District — KM4.9. In October alone, ITA collected KM705m in indirect tax revenues. It noted that for the first time since its establishment monthly revenues collection exceeds KM700m.
The Macroeconomic Unit (OMA) of the Governing Board of ITA projects that net revenues will rise by 6.2% y/y to KM6.08bn in 2018, which seems realistic.
