In Croatia prices of gas for households will increase

The prices of gas for households are to increase as of Apr 1, local Vecernji List daily writes. Energy minister Tomislav Coric has commented that currently households in Croatia pay for gas 20% below the average market gas price, and that after this heating season ends on Mar 31, the prices of gas for households will increase depending on the market gas price. Yet, under the applicable regulation, the price hike should not be more than 10% as gas prices are still regulated and are to remain so until April 2021. As the average gas consumption of a household is about 1,060 cubic meters of gas per year, this would mean that the cost of one household for gas would increase by up to HRK287 to maximum HRK3,159 a year from the current HRK2,872 per year.
