Poland likely ended September with a cumulative YTD state budget deficit of PLN 31.2 bln, some 67% of the full-year plan, deputy Minister of Finance Hanna Majszczyk told reporters.
“The budget deficit at end-September according to preliminary estimates came to a nominal PLN 31.2 bln, which implies realization of the annual plan at about the level of 67%,” Majszczyk said. “This is a value a bit below that assumed in the deficit schedule.”
Both expenses and revenue levels are lightly below plan. Part o the shortfall in revenues comes on a shift in revenue bookings from budget units from September to October, she indicated.
Poland budgeted a PLN 46.08 bln deficit cap for 2015.
