Poland’s manufacturing sector purchasing managers’ index PMI slipped to its lowest reading in twelve months, down 0.2 pts in September to 50.9 points after a 3.4 pts decline the prior month, a report by Markit Economics showed.
“The Polish manufacturing economy remained stuck in a low gear in September,” authors write.
New export business decline for the first time since October 2014. Output and new orders were both listed as having risen at marginal rates. New business orders “continue to underpin” Poland’s expansionary readings on consistent gains since October 2014, authors note, but the latest rat of increase is the second weakest in that timeframe.
