Prof. Adam Glapinski to be sworn as the Polish central bank governor

NBP Governor elect prof. Adam Glapinski will be sworn in at the next sitting of the lower house of Polish parliament on Jun 21-23, according to a schedule for the sitting published Mon. The schedule appears to show that the swearing in will be the first item of the sitting, meaning it should occur on Jun 21 at 9 am. The state news agency PAP also reported that the swearing in would come on that date. Glapinski was voted in as NBP governor this past Fri., though first has to be sworn before has can take the reins from outgoing NBP Governor Marek Belka, whose term expired on Jun 11 but who remains in the position as a caretaker until the new governor is in place.
